British Council, Missing Pillar Talks

Barker Langham worked with the British Council to co-curate the third online edition of its Missing Pillar Talks. I led the project for BL, helping to set the narrative around the event, define each element of a two-day long programme, and convene a truly international ensemble of speakers and panelists.

The Talks explored culture's contribution to the UN SDGs, and grappled with how to the make the SDGs more relevant and relatable to artists and cultural producers.

The final programme featured film screenings, Q&As, readings, talks, discussions and music around themes ranging from women's equality to climate change, to culture's role in contexts of crisis and the informal economy.
