About me

I set up as an independent cultural consultant in early 2024 after eight years with Barker Langham and earlier spells at the Art Fund, and Frankly, Green + Webb.

From 2014-2019, I completed a PhD in Heritage Studies at UCL, and taught on the MA courses “Critical Approaches to Heritage” and “Heritage, Globalisation and Development”.

My research at UCL was a bit of a wild soup of ideas. On the one hand it grappled with problems of inclusion, representation, difference, diversity, and social justice in museum and heritage practice.

On the other, it was about sound, space, everyday life, the meaning of home, the nature of listening, and the lived and felt experience of homelessness.

Though my academic days are behind me now, that jumble of interests is alive and well.
